PWC's were never designed or engineered to accommodate Rescue Boards. Extensive time on the water has proven that basic wear can occur between the PWC and rescue board interface. HSA addresses this by creating mount kits which reduce wear & tear on PWC and rescue board and provide a foolproof connection between the ski and sled. Properly rigged a rescue board provides a smoother ride for people and payload. Comes with heavy duty front and side mounting U-bolts with rubber gaskets and a 3 x 7 inch skid plate for the point where front of the sled rubs on the ski. THE STANDARD is where it all began, first product introduced to the public, still in our line today. The “go to” board for rescue professionals. Nimble enough to pivot in dynamic water conditions but not inhibit performance. Small enough to sink the board and wash a victim onto it. Enough surface area to package a victim with grabber or carry a few boards to your surf destination
THE TOW BOARD is the ultimate utility platform specific for tow surfing ability to load two boards side by side. Extra floatation/volume for chilling between sets. Elliptical outline. Tail and handle layout specific for boarding while padding a tow or surfboard. Short rope tail.
THE CUTTER is for those who want more cargo capacity such as sailboarders, divers and tow surfers who need more space for gear. Recommended for bigger body types (185lbs and over) and in cold water area’s where being high & dry reduces exposure.
Optional PWC mounting kit available for attaching the Rescue Board to your watercraft comprised of three heavy duty stainless steel U bolts with integral waterstop rubber gaskets.

Stretch says: With the high speeds these boards are meant to perform under, flex becomes uncontrollable and sketchy. We build our boards with 3 layers of structural foam and a carbon fiber internal frame. This makes the board very strong with torsion and flexural values being very little to none. We vacuum press the cores together and then hand shape the rails, bottom contours and fine details. Outer skins are then vacuum bag laminated onto the board before it gets sanded and then painted. The construction we developed for these boards allows us to build them 1 ¼” thick, thinner than any other tow-board. This lowers the center of gravity while affording the rider to smoothly penetrate the water. Our rocker for the tow-in board was highly influenced by our windsurfers, where both types of boards show urgency in utilizing and maintaining high speeds. The core in these boards is always pressed before it is hand shaped so that we consistently achieve an extremely accurate rocker. The full tail on these boards allows the rider to surf with the rear foot closer to the tail. By utilizing an efficient surface area in the rear of the board, one can surf faster without the lack of stability and still turn like a shorter board. All of our tow boards come complete with the external weighting system for the varying conditions found in huge surf. By building the boards as light as possible and then incorporating modular lead weights to the center of effort (between the rider’s feet), the board is allowed to react much quicker to dynamics in the wave face. This gives the rider a smoother ride and the feel that a light board would have while riding in much more powerful conditions. Tow boards come fully equipped with pads, straps, weight, custom art and hand foiled G-10 fiberglass fins by Curtis Hesselgrave.

John is an avid tow surfer and is constantly refining his designs through personal experience as well as feed back from the people he enjoys the sport of tow in surfing with. Available in two models, a fun 5 foot shape for smaller surf (up to 15 foot faces) and a 6 foot big wave model to take you to the limit.

The Hybrid tow rope is one and one quarter inches of bright yellow hollow core polypropylene with a section of two and one half inches. Designed to float, this rope has a durable delron thimble (PWC attachment point) and protective vinyl sheath from the PWC contact point to six feet out, reducing the potential for rope being sucked into an intake grate. Strong, light and thick enough to short-rope, tow surfers have been loving this rope for years. Due to the large material diameter, the Hybrid tow rope is forgiving which means its easy to grab even with tired hands from a day of towing. The inherent elasticity built into the rope reduces the jolt that creates tired arms and shoulders. The foam serves a dual role of added buoyancy, as well as making it the easiest rope to short- hand. The Hybrid is the go-to rope chosen by top tow teams. Handle sold separately. Optional quick release assembly for safely attaching rope to your PWC is recommended.
