VOYAGER X WETFEET KICKS OFF THE HAWAII 2026 DOWNWIND MONTH IN JULY AND IS THE OPENING RACE OF THE 5 RACE KOA KAI CROWN SERIES. THIS RACE HAS THE MOST TECHNICALLY CHALLENGING WATERS OF THE SERIES COVERING THE LAST SECTION OF M20 BUT CLOSER TO THE COAST. JOIN US FOR A FUN DAY WITH THE BEST FOILERS IN THE WORLD!

A DOWNWIND RACE for SUP, Wing and Foildrive on SUNDAY JULY 5TH. SUP will be from the Alan Davis area of Sandy Beach to a buoy outside Kaimana Wind Sock - approximately 12 miles

Wing and Foildrive Division will be from China Walls to a buoy outside Kaimana Wind Sock - approximately 8.5 miles. SUP can also start from China Walls however, there will be no awards for this category.

8:00am-9:30 am Hui Nalu Halau - Race Check In, Pass Out Numbers for Boards and Shirts.

9:30 am Hui Nalu Halau - Race Meeting.

11:00am Water Start All Classes

1:00 pm Kaimana Buoy Finish Line - Cutoff Time to Finish

1:30 PM Kapiolani Beach Park - FOOD/AWARDS

General Rules

Please read these rules carefully and abide by them or face disqualification. In general you are expected to conduct yourself in a sportsmanlike manner, help others on the course if they are in trouble and consider safety first above everything else. Please wear the race jersey during the race, its looks great for photos!

You can preregister here until June 30th for $80:

Registration

Race day registration will be $100.

All racers including must check in on race morning from 8am to 10am to get their number and race jersey. There will be a pre-race briefing at 10:00am at the Canoe Hale at the Hawaii Kai Boat Ramp.

Race Course

The SUP race course will be from Allen Davis area outside of Sandy Beach to a boat and buoy chute outside Kaimana Beach Park.  The Wing and Foildrive division will from China Walls to a boat and buoy chute outside Kaimana Beach Park.  SUP can also start at China Walls. You must go through the chute between the boat and buoy to officially finish and receive a time.

Categories

There will be Men's and Women's age divisions for 39 and under and 40 and over in the SUP division. There will be Men's and Women's overall awards in the wing and Foildrive categories. Awards will be given to the top 3 in each division. For China Walls SUP there will be first overall Men's and Women's only.

Race Rules

The Alan Davis start area will be in the water about 100 meters outside the Lagoon which is a short hike in from the curve of the road going to the Hawaii Kai Golf Course. Racers are expected to be in the water at the start area 15 minutes prior to their respective start times. All racers must be sitting on their boards for the starting gun. Course marshalls on jet skis will be managing the start line so that no one is in front of the line or gets a rolling start. Please cooperate and help shepherd others to insure a fair start.

The China Walls start area will be 100 yards out from the China Walls jump in point. Racers are expected to be in the water at the start area 15 minutes prior to their respective start times. All racers must be sitting on their boards for the starting gun. Course marshalls on jet skis will be managing the start line so that no one is in front of the line or gets a rolling start. Please cooperate and help shepherd others to insure a fair start.

Once the gun goes off there are no restrictions other than you must go through the chute between the boat and buoy to officially finish and receive a time even if it means paddling to it. Once you pass the finish line stay in your finish order until you pass the timer on a jet ski.

A leash is required and Inflatable boards are not allowed. Racers not finished by 1:00pm will be given a DNF.

Awards Ceremony

At 1pm there will be an awards ceremony at Kapiolani Park across the street from Kaimana Beach with food being served.
