As of May 2021, all Unifoil hydrofoils are now made in Australia using only the highest grade premium quality carbon available, according to first-world manufacturing standards. Unifoil has revamped every aspect of production from the ground up. Before manufacturing even begins, the most high-quality specific fibers, resins, and weaves available are selected. Utilizing a higher mixture of lightweight high-quality carbon fiber prevents unwanted flex and torsion, and provides stiffness and strength where needed. This is to ensure the lightest, stiffest, and most high-performing equipment, with the optimal flex to weight ratios. All Unifoil hydrofoils are designed and tested by team riders and engineers and manufactured according to aerospace standards.
Designed by Adam Bennetts & Clifford Coetzer in search of the ultimate all-around surf foil, the Vyper was born. A cross between the Vortex and the Hyper it has the best attributes of each model. The carve and ease of turning of the Vortex, and the ease of pump and efficiency of the Hyper. The VORTEX range bridges the gap between short boarding and foil surfing with its speed and carving capabilities. The HYPER range is the original high aspect small wave/downwind machine that every other company has looked to for inspiration when creating something with maximum efficiency and glide.
The VYPER has a wingspan that is just wide enough to efficiently get you from A to B (the glide is unreal).
It has the perfect amount of sweep in the tips to roll the wing into the craziest of carves whilst wing tip breaches are a breeze to recover from (no ventilation issues here).
The thickness flaunts Unifoil’s remarkable speed we’ve all come to love, without sacrificing low-speed lift - which is great for recovery in between those critical carves and snaps in the whitewater.
The stability and glide of this design still blows my mind and because of this, a much smaller rear stab can be ridden, which massively enhances its turning capabilities and opens up a whole new world of ripping that you never thought was possible on a hydrofoil. Or, throw on a bigger rear stab and take it on a down-winding mission because the glide is unbelievable!
Whether you’re brand new to foiling, or a seasoned veteran, this stable, lightning-fast, maneuverable wing, will elevate your performance in the surf rapidly. It really is the best of both worlds, pumping like a HYPER, but carving like a VORTEX -
Welcome to the future of foiling, the VYPER!
Adam´s recommended rear stab for Vypers:
Vyper 130 - 14 flare (if towing)
Vyper 130 - 13/14 race 18 (if small guy surfing)
Vyper 150 - 13/14” race 18
Vyper 170 - 13/14” race 18
Vyper 190 - 12/13/14” race 18 (if surfing)
Vyper 190 - carve 16 (if wing dinging)
Recommended race 18 tail wing option, adding to the speed and free flow riding style. For a softer, less locked-in ride choose the down-sweep tail “the Carve 16” which also makes pumping easier. The rudder tail "Flareseries” 12 or 14 is the recommended tail wing for beginners or kiters.
The Vortex 150 is an ultra hi-performance foil. It is a smaller and more maneuverable foil than its bigger brother the 175. The reason being the aspect ratio on the 150 is higher, the chord shorter and lower drag from less surface area. Designed for a balance of speed, turning, and lift, without breaching.
Ultra hi-performance and fun, the Vortex 150 has great stability and a locked-in feel due to the double bottom concave on the wing. The 150 wing is preferred by our team riders and the pro guys who like to carve and ride the wave with hi-performance in mind. The 175 is preferred for larger rider or intermediates wanting to learn how to carve and pump needing more surface area.
Because the Vortex 150 is smaller and has less surface area than the 175 model, it is designed to be ridden by smaller riders, or in bigger surf. With the added speed you need less wing and less thickness in the leading edge keeps you locked in and means less chance of your foil breaching.
The Vortex 150 is perfect for tow foiling and bigger surf for heavier riders up to 100kgs. With the added speed and less thickness in the leading edge, it keeps you locked in and means less chance of your foil breaching at high speeds. The Vortex 175 is perfect for small to medium prone-foil days.
For a softer, less locked-in ride choose the down-sweep tail “the Carve 16” which also makes pumping easier. The rudder tail "Flareseries” 14 is the recommended tail wing for beginners or kiters.
There is no better wing to grow your winging freestyle level.
The little sister of the W1100 keeps a great pump abilities while improving maneuverality. It's accelerate faster than the W1100 and also has an higher top end speed. The W950 is a must for light to medium wind freestyle and for long runs at high speed. Comes with 82cm mast and 483 tail.
New front wing W940, specifically designed for pure surfing!
The flat design and the reduced surface of this wing (1100 cm2) guarantee perfect maneuverability in the waves, while maintaining high speed.
New SABFOIL front wing W945 is the bigger brother of the W940.
The bigger surface and the longer chord (1300 cm2) with respect to its little sister W940 guarantee better stability and a higher lift, making it easier to surf among waves.
Designed in collaboration with World Champion Luuc van Opzeeland, this full HM carbon race wing is the pinnacle of SABFOIL carbon technology and design.
The windsurf W1000 can be used for wing race or downwind foiling.
Each detail is precisely tuned to maximize the highest ratio speed/angle while avoiding ventilation. Providing superior stability and control even at the highest speed. A racing specific design, geometry, and construction. The Vento 107-1000 is all about the top average speed around the course on all angles of sail. Its stability will permit you to focus on speed and tactics while racing. The W1000 front wing, with its 1,100 cm² area, adds lightwind performance keeping full control in higher wind. This is advanced racing performance, low drag and exceptional upwind ability combined with a stable and precise ride.
Thinking of riding some waves of consequence? These three boards will get you out and into whatever size waves you’d like to challenge yourself with. Semi-gun and gun outlines/rockers taken from tried and true big wave surfboard designs have been applied to these stand up designs. Flat bottom going to “V” in the tail. These are the boards Keali’i Mamala uses in XXL waves and has been riding these PRODUCTION boards at Jaws, Mavericks and Nazare.
4+1 fin box set up.
Comes with quad fin set – Front 4 3/4″ Back 4″.
